Auditor Issues Ballot Deadline Guidance - Pierce co.

Pierce County Auditor Linda Farmer issued guidance after the U.S. Supreme Court upheld Washington’s vote-by-mail law allowing ballots postmarked by Election Day to be counted if they are received afterward. The June 29 ruling in Watson v. Republican National Committee affirmed Washington’s longstanding ballot-return process. Farmer said the Auditor’s Office will continue to uphold voters’ right to cast ballots according to state law. More information is available at piercecountywa.gov/elections.
