Lakewood’s Signal Box Art Adds Color to Local Intersections - LKW

Art is making its way to more of Lakewood’s streets as the City continues its signal box art wrap program, transforming everyday traffic signal cabinets into colorful public art.

The newest installation can now be found at Steilacoom Boulevard and Hipkins Road, adding another creative touch to one of Lakewood’s busy intersections. The wraps are designed to add visual interest and celebrate the community.

Lakewood’s signal box wraps feature artwork created by local and South Sound artists, with themes that reflect the community’s history, natural beauty, culture and character.
